Quote of the Month

“I’ve been all over the map, man. I’ve lived. I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. I ate bat in Laos. I shot a cow with a bazooka. I’m not proud of that last one, but I did it, man.”

Sugarplum Fairies and Ladybug Boots

Rory started ballet lessons with her friend Sara a few weeks ago at a little place down the street called Velocity Dance Studio. Kiddo's been really enjoying it and was excited to hit the stage in her pink tutu at the ward party! A few more stills of the girls at their first ballet performance yesterday:

But before Rory got to be in the ballet, she got to go see the ballet too! Dustin and I have a tradition of going to see the Nutcracker every Christmas. Unfortunately, Bella-bob was a mucus-monster sportin' a high fever to boot. We could have left her as planned but daddy suggested that Rory have a Mommy date and I bet you can guess how that went over! So off we went, my big girl and I, into the city for a fancy fun time.

She got all dressed up in her froo-frooest party dress and added some snazz with her stand out ladybug golashes. Then that little girl was totally in love with the whole experience, she happily demonstrated some ballet moves for me a the opera house and stuck with the story through-out the whole performance! I was in heaven watching beautiful ballet with my big baby girl whispering question after question on my lap and promising to be brave when the nutcracker and the mouse king fought. Then, like the very final finale, we walked out of the lobby to find big fluffy snowflakes dancing down the streets. It was a special night for the both of us and we're so lucky we got to do it!

Ballet Performance

Here is the first ballet performance of Rory and her friend Sarah! Quite entertaining!

It's Complicated...

"Someday when I'm all grown up, my babies will come out of my tummy and I'll be a Mommy! And then, when I'm all done being a mommy, all my big bunches of hair will fall out and I'll be a Daddy. And then I'll be a dentist!"

Thankful 360

Last year we started the tradition of George the thankful turkey.  This year his feathers got a little out of control and he fanned his tail in 360 degrees of gratitude.  We wrote something we're glad to have on each feather and the list turned out (in no particular order) like this:
books
scriptures
dogs
friends
music
flowers to pick and sniff
Rory and Bella (and the rest of our family)
yummy drinks
puzzles
vacations
flowers again
language
Miss Cherisa
movies
food
smells
nursery
stories
balls
baby toys and Swiper (from Dora)

We have so many great people and things in our life that didn't make it on display.  Thanks for being part of us!  We love you :)
